Contests can be a great way to bring attention to your business and to your Pinterest account.

In 2012 it was nearly impossible to be on Pinterest without seeing a pin linking to a “Pin it to Win It” contest. This year, they’re not as common and there’s a big reason why.

Pinterest has revised their contest guidelines they now require business owners and marketers to put more thought and creativity into their contests. The new guidelines encourage engagement and discourage actions that could be considered spammy.

This week on the podcast, I chat with social media pro, Lisa Kalner-Williams. She has spent months researching Pinterest contests and she shares some of her findings and best tips with us.
