In this episode of the podcast I bring you some Pinterest-ing tips from marketing masters, Scott Stratten and Simon Salt.

Pinterest-ing Advice From Marketing Masters

I wish I could say that both Scott and Simon were guests on the show but, no such luck. Maybe someday. But, I discuss how we can take their words of social media marketing wisdom and put them in to practice.

What sparked the idea for this week’s episode was a video Scott posted on his Facebook page titled “Social Icons Can Be Anti-Social.” After listening to the podcast, I highly recommend you hop on over to his Facebook page and watch it. Be sure to like his page while you’re there to keep up with more Stratten wisdom.

In the video, Scott makes some very good points about ways businesses could improve on the way social media icons are used. He describes his approach to making it easier for people to connect with you on social media and reduce the potential for distraction.

Scott’s video reminded me of another marketing master I’ve had the pleasure of learning from, Simon Salt. During Simon’s presentation at an event I attended, he asked the audience a question that has stuck with me for months about the social why.
