We’ve integrated Tailwind with Hootsuite to enable pin scheduling for over 10 million users.
We’re proud to announce that as of today, Hootsuite users can create and schedule pins to Pinterest through an integration with Tailwind. We’re thrilled to bring best-in-class Pinterest publishing functionality to the Hootsuite dashboard through this integration.
The Tailwind app for Hootsuite allows you to create new pins, schedule pins and repins for later and Pin to multiple boards at once – all right within your Hootsuite dashboard. This enables Hootsuite users to save time, maximize their effectiveness and streamline marketing workflow by managing their social and visual marketing side by side.
Existing Tailwind members will be able to access their account directly in Hootsuite after installing the Tailwind for Pinterest app. Hootsuite users who are new to Tailwind can create a Tailwind account while installing the app to get the same free trial of Tailwind Plus that they’d receive when signing up at tailwindapp.com.
Here’s how to set up pin scheduling in Hootsuite in four easy steps, using the Tailwind App:
1. Use this link to install the Tailwind app for Hootsuite
2. Login to (or Create) your Tailwind account
3. An on-screen tutorial will introduce you to the four core Tailwind streams: Drafts, Scheduled Pins, Calendar and Latest Pins
4. “Activate” each stream to start pinning!
5. BONUS: Install the Tailwind Browser Extension to schedule pins across the web, including repins on Pinterest.com. Here are the links to install the Tailwind Browser Extension for Chrome, Firefox and Safari (double-click the file that opens to install for Safari).

Q&A – Answers to common questions we’re getting about the Tailwind – Hootsuite integration for Pinterest:
Will other Tailwind features I love be available in Hootsuite?
This initial app release is focused specifically on the creation and scheduling of pins. Other Tailwind features, such as content suggestions, Pinterest analytics and Pinterest monitoring are not included at this time. Of course, any Tailwind member, whether they sign up through Hootsuite or tailwindapp.com directly, will be able to use these other features in their Tailwind dashboard.
Will I still get the free trial of Tailwind Plus if I sign up for Tailwind through the Hootsuite app?
Yes. Tailwind users who create their account through the Hootsuite app get the same free features and free trial of Plus as users who sign up on tailwindapp.com.
Can I use the Tailwind browser extension to add draft pins in Hootsuite?
Yes. Regardless of how you add drafts to your Tailwind account (through the browser extension, via single or bulk upload, through our Canva integration, etc), you will be able to edit and schedule those Drafts through the Tailwind app for Hootsuite.
Is there a cost to use Tailwind to schedule pins in Hootsuite?
There is no additional charge for Tailwind members who wish to use the Hootsuite app to schedule pins. This options is available to all Tailwind plan levels, from Free to Enterprise.
Does the Tailwind app in Hootsuite support publishing to multiple Pinterest accounts from a single Hootsuite account?
Not yet. If you need to publish to multiple Pinterest accounts efficiently, we recommend sticking with your Tailwind dashboard for now. This could be a logical feature for us to add to the Hootsuite app, but it won’t be available in the first version.
