Exciting news!! You can now verify your website on Pinterest!
We have an updated article on how to verify your website on Pinterest: Pinterest Site Verification: Easy Step-by-Step Guide
Earlier today, Pinterest announced that they have released a new website / domain verification feature. It just takes a moment to verify your website on Pinterest, which will add credibility to your Pinterest profile. It will also prevent others from using your domain.
To start, log-in to Pinterest and go to your Settings tab. Scroll down until you see the option to verify your domain on Pinterest.
3 easy steps to verify your domain on Pinterest:
- Download a simple HTML verification file. It’s small- only 8kb.
- Upload the file to your web server (ONLY top-level domains can be verified on Pinterest at this time. So, pinleague.com can be verified on Pinterest but (e.g.) pinleague.tumblr.com can not).
- Return to your setting page to complete the process.
After you install the file, you’ll see something like this. It’s a bit creepy…how did they know I’m looking good? I mean, I am writing this in my favorite PJ’s…
Voila! Users are now able to see our full domain on our profile and in Pinterest search results with a checkmark indicating we’ve been verified!
